Step it up

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetToday a prominent Canadian Fashion magazine was shooting at the agency so Megan and I felt like our outfits needed to go to the next level. It’s not every day that an actual fashion magazine stops by your work!

Jen: Today I wanted to look chic and effortless. Despite the fact that wanting to look chick and effortless kind of defeats the purpose of looking chic and effortless, I decided to wear my favourite Mother Denim jeans from VAM Boutique for a second time this week, (not totally out of character, I probably wear them upwards of 3x per week. I love them THAT much) with a simple grey t shirt that’s been in my closet since I first moved to Ottawa, my standard Kate and Mel booties and my favourite Mackage leather jacket. I also wanted a pop of colour so I added this big Jenny Bird tusk necklace. When Megan got to work at 1 I was disappointed that I hadn’t stepped it up like she did. I think she looks like a fashion editor today!!!

Megan: I went with my waxed black pants from Vero Moda, every time I wear them Jen tells me I look super tiny and my legs look so long, so whenever I am having a blah day, I wear them to pick me up, and with this weather I have been having blah days all week long. I paired it with a sheer black button up from Dynamite, that I buttoned all the way to top, so that I looked super tall and brighten my outfit up with a colourful blazer from Vero Moda, another piece I didn’t try before I bought it (thank goodness it worked out). I then wore simple jewelry because I felt my outfit really spoke for its self, so I wore my Journey Necklace, my mother got me for Christmas. The necklace is a cool concept, it has charms inside a locket that my mom picked out that represents me. And on my feet, my favourite silver heels, that I went out and bought after seeing them at a photoshoot at our agency.
