Shoot Day

After our lovely student models ace their practical exams, they get to partake in the real fun part of modeling: The photo shoot.

Shoot days are usually the most hectic days for us. We are running from makeup room to the runway room back to our desks. We are helping curl hair, give opinions on outfits and cuffing jackets. By the end of the day we are exhausted because on top of helping with all the aforementioned items, we are also continuing to do our regular duties.

These photos were taken at the end of the day, which is why we look to have used up all our energy.

They are amazing, they are lined so they keep me warm in this cold weather. I pair this with a oversized tiger tank top, that is actually comfort wear from La Senza. I paired that with my jean jacket.  To make sure I could keep up with the speed of the shoot, I wear my black booties from Aldo and I jazzed up my outfit with a Jenny Bird necklace.

Jen: Despite the fact that I own like 15 blazers, this one is my favourite. It’s a forest green wool blazer from Club Monaco. I paired it with my leather Club Monaco leggings and a Brandy Melville t-shirt. Even though I am a little older than the BM demographic, I think the store is great for basics like this. I love the one-size-fits all and this shirt is in definite heavy rotation in my wardrobe. I layered my necklaces today to create some dimension with a shorter Pyrrha necklace from Magpie and my favourite globe locket that I got at this random jewellery stand in Wasaga beach almost five years ago. I also paired it with a super simple Biko bracelet to create a kind of understated, simple look. Mostly so models would trust me while I help them pick out their outfits!
